Ok, first off my price range is between R8000-R10 000

now, I'm looking for a laptop that can game (if possible, better then my current rig : ATI x1600 pro ddr3, AMD 3200+ and 1 gig ddr ram)

I'm really open to any manufacturer, but the lappy should be at least reliable and a should have a nice look.

For Gaming get an HP. I love my HP! They are tops for multimedia and gaming. I got my HP Pavilion ZR series for under R10,000.00 two years ago. But I got mine in the USA.

Might be a bit hard to get a gaming notebook for <R10000, maybe something with a M8600 if you are lucky. As Garyvdh said, HP are great, toshiba might have something decent to in your pricerange.

I was looking at the HP pavilions only to find a nvidia 8400M GS
Now, I'm a fool at computers, but I can tell you that the Nvidia 8400Mgs isn't a gaming GPU, even my lil x1600 pro will own it's ass.

I was looking at the Toshiba A200 series (with ATI HD2600 :D) only to find that they have been discontinued :(
(and the A300's are a lil expensive)

Asus have some nice lappies with the graphics cards, but I'll look for an Acer with the GFX card because they give by far the best value for money, and a bonus is they come either standard with XP, or with Vista but XP downgrade discs as well.

PM me for pricing.

Have a look at laptops007.

Also checkout laptopreview site to give ypu an idea
Waiting to see which lappie you choose.

I just love my Dell Inspiron 6000.
What do you guys think.

IBM is the best of the lot and 2nd is your DELL
Anyone dare to disagree

Dell is a good business laptop. For gaming I suggest HP or Asus, they handle the punch :)

I'm still waiting for Sonic LCD TV pricing... ;)

Oh noes - PM me your cell number (if you don't mind). I won't be online till about 4 or 5 today which means I'll be able to call you rather. Sorry man, completely slipped my mind. :o
