Help switching from Mweb to Telkom

I am currently with MWEB (I know...major fail :wtf:), and sent them a request to downgrade to the 1GB option on the 4th April (I know....should've sent it at the beginning of the month....another fail!), which means my downgrade will only kick in on 1 May. I also sent them a cancellation which will be effective end May, leaving me with no internet for the month of May! I want to switch to the doUncapped Basic package with Telkom, but MWEB also manage my line and they say they will transfer it back to Telkom end of May but I need to know if I can switch to Telkom at the beginning of May? Should I cancel the downgrade? What are my least expensive options? :cry:
 
get another ISP account until end of may. Less headaches until thebn. Apply for the telkom thing so long so the switch between mweb and telkom goes through seamlessly

aaaaaand: thus is why everyone and their dog recommends NOT keeping your line with the ISP so that you can switch ISP's whenever you want

As I understand it, you'll be downgraded to 1GB for May, but your line and internet will only "stop working" end of may and your line will be transferred back to Telkom end of May.

If I remember correctly my transfer meant I paid MWeb end of (in your case) April last, and only started paying Telkom end of June (as Mweb was prorata).

Just confirm with Mweb but it looks like you'll have to only buy the Internet portion as of beginning of June to keep being online (Telkom will send you an invoice end of June for the line part).
