i kinda lost my drivers and cant find any drivers for a "telkom wireless usb" (thats all thats written on the stick, ffs) anyway does anyone have a link to the drivers or can i borrow someones plz.
When you plug the wireless adaptor in, the new hardware wizard popsup and will ask if you want to check the net for drivers, select this time only (obviously you must be connected to the internet). Drivers will be downloaded automatically as they are signed with M$.
Sorry about posting on this old topic, I have a dongle just like that one, it says Wireless USB infront and has a Telkom sticker at the back of it with ICASA TA 2004/449 approval.
Now I've searched Google like crazy, opened up the stick and even Google'd the numbers on the chips etc, with no result as to wth it is. ( I do get some results that it was made by Global Sun Tech inc).
If anyone has the disc of this Wireless dongle please PM so that I can get in contact with you somehow, for those wondering I have tried Telkom and they just tell me its not supported anymore (Telkom direct shop)
I'm just gonna try this one more time, then its RIP for this (I suspect still working) dongle.
Otherwise, guess I'll just buy a new one, from a known vendor
I have the same device and have also lost my disc. I recently upgraded to Win7 and it is unable to auto-detect and download drivers for this device. I have searched the net in vain. I remember finding them online about two years ago, the links no longer seem to exist.
If anyone has the executable could you please pm me and i'll give you my email address.
I'm not so desperate though. The thing always seems to overheat, pretty useless.
