Help us find this man

there are very little "humane" things in a slaughterhouse, i can link you to videos that show you the terror animals go thru as they are herded into a production line and can smell the other dead animals :p

Nevertheless, a few minutes of terror and then instant death, versus hours and hours of torture over their lifetime... still no comparison.

there is a comparison, but they're both bad. we do not know that the video went on for hours or even days, it could have been the total time it took to shove pigs down a terrifuing passage

Nevermind the transport beforehand.

Methods of slaughter and transport will continue to be refined as technology improves.
Their intention is not to cause unnecessary suffering.
You guys are just deflecting from the real issue here.

Go spend a few hours in a commercial slaughterhouse and you will come out thinking very differently. There is nothing humane about what goes in there. The large scale industrial slaughtering of animals can never be "refined".

A few people made a remark that a slaughterhouse "isn't as bad", and my beef(hehehe) lies in the perception that because it's quick and it's not on video, it must be better than a man torturing an animal :p

we're all against violence against animals and anyone, but everyone that thinks slaughterhouses are picnics for animals, hooboy :D

best way to not cause unnecessary suffering - don't eat them

Then they should stop tasting so good. But I agree the whole meat production process is not good for animals in any way.

If only people cared this much about men beating up women and children.

 There's always one.
The vid has nothing to do with human-on-human violence, so why can't the issue be addressed on its own merit?

i eat animals too, i love my meat, but i'm not going to criticise someone who doesn't have a taser or bolt-shooter on how they kill an animal because they can't afford the same instruments major manufacturing plants can.

I do think the SPCA could do some awareness campaigns on the matter though as there are better ways to kill animals.
