HELP: what is this Cape Town building???

So staying in the Cape Town CBD, looking out to Table Mountain, one very weird landmark which I can’t recognise … anybody know what this building is with three towers?

Wow thanks for the answers! I find it weird how the three towers are linked by that massive base … I’m guessing that’s the parking garage and some communal facilities in the base?

I was there with a relative in the eighties, she owned a Fish Tank, the building swayed and it was just incredible to watch the motion of the ocean in that tank....

Stunning views by the way....
 
Amazing view of the mountains, they sit so close to them, I get vertigo on the higher floors there's something wonky about those buildings.
 
From the Wikipedia... How they got around the building restrictions (at that time)...

Murray & Roberts found a loophole in the building restrictions on the mountainside, and built the base below the allowable development line, then built upward, above the line.

The law was changed after that so that the maximum height of a building could not exceed a certain height level.
Would have thought that some government pencil pusher could have foreseen that eventuality.

Are there different sizes there? Friend used to stay there 30 years ago and his place was quite small?
 
Fun fact:

Wife and I were on holiday and decided on visiting someone (aangenaaide familie) in Vredehoek, which has spectacular views of the Foreshore.

As I was enjoying the beautiful view, I noticed that there was, what looked like, a strange vessel in the harbour. Our host produced a pair of binoculars for me to see it better. I then mentioned that would not be too surprised should there be peeping toms that would enjoy the "views" from such a height, seeing as I also noticed that a lot of residences had exposed views into their living areas.

My ever inquisitive wife then grabbed the binoculars, "Lemme see, Lemme see!!" So I handed it to her and then sat down.

About 15 minutes later I hear her exclaim: "Hey, come look!" She was pointed at the towers: "There's a guy with a telescope, and he's looking this way!" I laughed: "I told you so!"

So our host offered to take us up to a friend that stayed there, about ¾ up the far-left tower. Breathtaking, but too high up for me to live comfortably.
 
Good old tampon towers. Had the pleasure of skinny dipping in the pool with a wild babe back in my younger days. Fond memories
