Help With Betting Odds

Yea like i said they make their money on the favourites getting nailed. People bet huge money on 5/10 teams. Imagine you put 10k down you get 15k back. Easy money :D.

Well if the 5/10 wins if you see a team at 1/3 they will win 99/100.

Still good money though if can afford to drop 10k or 20k on the game and if you are really well off drop 100k and you can make a killing

I'd rather bet small amounts on the underdogs. Also more exciting to watch.

It does sometimes.

But not in sport betting I think. Like in roulette in a casino you would bet on red as an example it's a 50/50 bet right but the table min bet would be R100 as an example so the odds on red would be 100-100 on that same table a number would be 3600-100 it depends on the table. But it does indicate the min bet sometimes.

Not in Spreadbetting though. Don't think so :o

I remember when I was a 8 year old (or so), my dad said: 'the second number shows how much you have to put down, while the first number shows how much you are going to get back on top of the money you put down'. Needless to say, the bet has to go your way. If not . . . Further, if the 2nd number is bigger, the odds are with you, if not they are against you and if the same, then the odds are even. I hope this helps.

Ahem.. No. It's actually 47% or something because of the 0 and even less on an American table as they have an extra 00.

Not going to argue with you but will ask you a question.

Min bet on the roulette table is R10. You bet R10 on red and it hits. How much do you get back from that R10 bet?
