Okay so Im a new member here hoping to get some much needed help :)

Im having tons of issues with my BF3 including crashes, black screens, stuttering and worst of all, LOW performance

So to start here are my PC specs :

Motherboard - Asus P5P43TD

Graphics Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti

RAM/Memory - 2GB's DDR3 DRAM Frequency 666.6MHz

CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300

PSU - 585W

Monitor - BenQ 23" Full HD

Now with these specs I should at least be able to run BF3 on Medium with no lag right ? Well I cant even Run it on LOW and my resolution at the lowest it can possibly go in game... My FPS jump from 8 to 40 FPS and never goes over 40 FPS... It very often jumps all the way down to 1 FPS... Now with my specs and the game on LOW I should not be getting all this right ? I know that my RAM is allitle low and am planning on buying around 4GB more soon.. But does anyone have any idea how I can stop this annoying lag ?

The annoying part is that Im able to play Single Player on HIGH with Full resolution with no lag , and even on ULTRA with Full Resolition with only alittle stuttering here and there, yet on MP I can barley play on LOW :(

I also seem to crash ALLOT... Every time the map changes I get black screened and am forced to restart my PC..

Any advice will be much appreciated :)

You need more memory without a doubt.

You need windows 7 minimum so i am sure you have windows 7. Remember that online and offline use different resources. Online uses way more graphics than offline.

How does it run on low settings?

Also go into your bios and disable hyper threading, it causes a lot of trouble in bf 3. Make sure you are running the latest nvidia drivers.

only solution, get a lga1155 board and a i5-2500k with 8gb ddr3-1333.

I also have the 560ti card and runs on average at 60fps on high.

I stopped playing bf3... cant handle a buggy game and I am too old to fight with another game. I also got the game crash between loads, and it got so frustrating, I just moved on. I have other games just as fun that dont require so much frustration.

Thanks for the reply

Yes I do indeed have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

And as I said I only get about 35 FPS on LOW and it still stutters and jumps all the way doen to 1FPS and such..

I have already disabled Hyper Threading and some other stuff in my NVIDIA control panel..

But thanks for the advice :) Will def get some more memory this weekend then :)

I dont have around R3000 just lying about.. Im a student I have like R1000... Will use it to get memory.. Then when my birthday comes I'll think about getting a Hexa core and new mobo.

I had the same issue....the problem was my CPU....
what is your cpu usage while playing? It should be abou60-70 percent while in game...
100% is not good...I bought the i5 2500k and it is awesome now!!

Bf 3 runs fine on an amd e250 dual core i think so i am fairly certain that q8300 cannot be the issue.

Perhaps you should use driver cleaner and remove all nvidia drivers and reload the latest ones.

Ghoti you are missing out on the best multiplayer game ever released. They have fixed pretty much everything and it is sheer enjoyment man. Your call but boy you have bf 3 and ain't playing it .

Tell me how do other games run? Can you run 3dmark and passmark? Perhaps you have some issue with your hdd or something but try more memory first as that could very well be your problem.

I have a i3 560 with 4gigs ram, running a gtx 460. Plays it perfectly. And thats old tech. I had about 5 min of gameplay then crashes to desktop with the bf3 not responding errors. Both in online and caampaign. My solution to this problem was just to reinstall windows from 32bit to 64. And guess what? Its running like a damn dream now. 32bit sucks the monkey!

Yeah will just get 4GB more RAM then reinstall Windows 7 and try then... THanks guys hope to see you online

Here's what I did.

Go into controle panel.

open programs and features.

Click on origin and bf3.

Click uninstall.

I have vowed to never buy a game through EA again. I recently bought and subscribed to SWTOR and I literally have to re-install the game daily so that I can enjoy my R500.00 before I unsubscribe.

With BF3 I had to buy a sound card, install the game daily, and sell my soul to the devil as it doesn't support on-board sound. I have actually realised that it does not support any current CPU's, Graphics cards or ram modules. Also, it does not support electricity as when you supply your pc with power, Origin and BF3 instantly break down and cry in the corner and corrupt all their installation files.

I will pirate every EA game from here on out. And Ubisoft as well for that matter... they fail the hardest(Cannot play single player offline because their servers are down WHAT.

These new anti-piracy measure have driven an honest consumer, willing to spend tons of his hard earned money on original material, to piracy. At least the pirated versions WORK!

I think it's the old ram and cpu buddy. I have a similar setup (almost exact) and no amount of ram helped much...

I feel your pain. I had similar sound issues.. Didnt have to buy a second sound card as I google'd til my eyes bled for a fix which I found..

But BF3 is amazing! --- If you willing to deal with all the bundled crapware (ie Origin) + ME3 will need it too...

I really wish that there would be a massive boycott on it but it will never happen and they just keep bending us over and over and over...

I see the okes are loving it, but two things I cant get over. 1). Bf2 was cool cause I could join a random squad and meet new friends (voip wise). This new system is okay, but its not as open like the old one... and 2). The ceiling for the jets sucks :D

I got too many other games these days to fight with bf3.... playing a ton of HoN and SWTOR.

I don't why people hate origin, what is so bad about it?

Ryan i would love to see how you plan on pirating games and playing online :D.

Exactly +1

I find more of a problem with the Web based launcher. I LOVE BF3 appart from my issues... I mean I just had a fantastic game with no stuttering and averaging 60FPS ( I figured that my FPS had been limited to 40FPS /FacePalm ) So now I dont stutter as much and actually enjoy the game...

My game crashes every time the map changes though, Not when a round ends and we switch sides but when the map actually changes.. Thats quite annoying I hope its sorted quick... Hopefulyl the next patch will fix most problems :)
