I need some help please. I have a Pioneer VSX D712 receiver connected to a Logix DVD. When I select a DTS audio track on a DVD there is no sound! DD works fine? There is a little DTS light that comes on the DVD player so I assume that the DVD is OK. Tried using CoAx and Fibre....

Also, on the receiver I have composite inputs from the DSTV decoder, when I try to output to the SVideo Monitor Out I get no picture?

Thanks for any help.....

I am not an expert on this but sounds like the DVD player is decoding the DTS soundtrack and not the receiver?
Maybe there is a option on the DVD player to set it to "pass-through" the audio track for the receiver to decode rather?

With regard to your composite to SVideo issue I do not think you can take a composite source into the receiver and then output it as SVideo. I believe that SVideo will only work if the input source is also SVideo, i.e. your input and output source types must match.
