Hi.. All my stuff worked fine (mms, gprs, Internet etc), but all of a sudden I lost my gprs settings. I can't connect to the internet via my Jamin, so I'm prettu much stuffed.. I foend some threads on how to get mms working, but none on the gprs settings. There is no answer at http://www.leaf.co.za.
I did download the Vodacom SA Wap1.2 settings cab from Leaf, but got no internet access afterwards..

Please help

Thanx

Trouble shooting 101 ... what has changed on your device since the last time it worked ????

it could be something very small causing you this headache ... give some more info ...

Nothing has changed...

I could not recieve certaim mms's(think it has something to do with the size)
I then fuddled with the connection settings, and in the end I deleted all I could, and re-installed Wap 1.2 - no luck.
Then I deleted 1.2, and installed ver 2. - no luck..

I now have a Vodacom WAP 2.0 and a My Work Network, and no Internet...

the problem you can and will experience with the cab files is that your internet and mms config is changed which replaces your My ISP ... so what happens is you have 2 modem connections .. one for internet and one for mms .. the spanner in the works is the auto pick option which pops up when you have multiple connections and it gets confused as to which one to use ...
okay so heres what you do ...

go start - settings - connections - connections .. now tap advanced - select networks .. in the first drop down list ... change it to - My ISP ..

go back to tasks and check to see if you have a connection which can be named any thing ... select a modem .. cellular line gprs and your access point name should be .. internet ... this should get you back on track ..

Thanx... did that....

It picks up the correct gprs connection, and goes to the url, but does not display anything..

In My ISP it says:
HTTP 196.6.128.12.8080

Is the port correct?

Thanx

Okay now you lost me ... where is the HTTP part ????
the only time you would use an IP would be for your MMS server settings .. which 196.6.128.6 .. the port number could be 8080 or 9201 ...
