Help with Intex Easyset pool

I have found the HTH floater for small pools (for 30 000 litres). Can i use this even if my pool only has around 8000 litres?

Will the chlorine not be too strong in the pool?

Most floaters are adjustable and have different holes for S/M/L. Just put is on small. My pool is 5500L and is fine.
 
As I said earlier. I have not switched it on for 3 weeks and the water is still clear(I must also say that we did not swim in it for 3 weeks either).
However, I think it should be switched on for about 4-6 hours a day depending on your pool size.
