Hi there

There is an option to enable CEC via the Mbox Settings application, but the option is missing from XBMC

Matricom are working on adding CEC XBMC support, just don't know how long it will take

I'll check the Linux version now and see if it supports it
 
@AVsupply Have you considered bringing in Amazon Fire TV's? With Amazon US not shipping internationally and Amazon UK not listing it yet it may be a nice offering from you to SA?

Getting used to my new Droidtv but it's very frustrating without a keyboard. I cannot decide whether to get the MeLE f10 or the Rii i8 wireless keyboard. I like the idea of the touchpad on the Rii i8 though.

I use my phone as a keyboard when needed. Works perfectly...

The DroidTV doesn't have bluetooth so you'll need to control it via your home network

Is your tablet an Apple or Android device?

It's an Android tablet. I saw that it did not have bluetooth onboard but I thought I could attach a USB bluetooth dongle to the media player, then pair my tablet to it. How does the wireless keyboards attach, such as the Mele and Rii units?

Before deciding on a remote, what percentage of your usage is Android apps versus XBMC?

1) When you say wireless USB dongle, is that a network wireless USB dongle or Bluetooth wireless USB dongle. If it's network wireless then do I give it an IP address?
2) As you know I'm new to this AndroidTV tech so I cannot give you usage percentages yet as I'm playing just around and getting familiar with it. It's only been my first weekend but typing can be very frustrating. I have attached a normal usb mouse and keyboard but sitting so close to the TV gives me eyesore.
 
What AV Supply is asking, is what are you using the mouse and keyboard for? Are you using it to control the Android operating system, or XBMC itself?

Either way, both can be controlled over your wireless network without the need for additional hardware and complications. The Yatse XBMC remote control is the best around, and Android has remote control and remote apps...

The wireless remote and USB dongle are paired (no IP addresses)

Checked the Linux version and the option is also greyed out. Am I right in thinking that the "input devices/peripheral" section is only available if XBMC detects a CEC supported connection?

Nope. Not required in Windows so I guess this is device-specific or install version specific...
