Help with Outlook 2013 and constant password entry

Hi. So a relative is having an issue where after the most recent win 10 update, her outlook 2013 is now randomly asking for a password. It will work fine for a few hours and then suddenly request the password be re-entered. This happens regardless of the "save password" option.

I have tried creating a new mail account with her existing details and the exact same thing happens on that, this leads me to believe that it might be an Outlook issue.

Can anyone offer any advice?

i had a similar problem on my Mac recently. No one could figure it out for months. In the end it turned out that Mail for Mac was trying to retrieve my email in the background even though i haven't launched the program in about a year. I disabled the email account in Mail and now my Outlook is behaving.

You might be on to something, I just noticed that it is saying that their windows account password has changed so it might have something to do with that.
