Help with short term load shedding solution

So picked up the inverter yesterday, went for the Axpert type 3000W Pure sine, only because of the good price. I know the 3000W is a bit overkill. Have not really used it yet but so far so good.

Just a question if I keep my stuff plugged into it while its being charged I assume that power is then drawn from the wall and not the battery?

Yes, but remember that what you can plug is still limited to the 3000W even if it's drawing from the wall, unless specified otherwise.

Get 600 cycle AGM at least.

That is R12600. Shipping is probably going to be another R900 if not included due to the weight. This batteries are super heavy. so about R13500

3000W is super overkill. You probably only need 700-1000W max.

You don't really want to use more than 400W if you only gonna get 2 batteries and want to run longer than an hour. So what you gonna do with the other 2600W?

Please check with the experts, but for 2 Pc's and no plan to go Solar, won't this be a better option or something similar?

How are the Microtek units? Just looking for simple pure sinewave inverter I can use to DIY ups.

Jumping in a bit late, but I would not recommend Lead Acid at all unless you are in a severe budget.
You can get Lithium for under 10k for 2.5KW (which would be equivalent to 4KW of Lead Acid).

Axpert inverters do not have CoCT or NERSA certification, so depending on your muni, aren't legally allowed to be used - for safety reasons.

You may need to rethink buying depending where you are located, especially if longer term you are thinking about expanding the system.

Looking at Segen, My supplier cost is 8600 incl. vat + a few hundred shipping, so you will be able to find resellers for 10k

Comes in 24v and 48v version. Can be used with other inverters, the note in red is inaccurate.

I think in terms of bang/buck they're the cheapest currently - 15KW would be 51k incl. + shipping.
eg - 6 units
