Hey guys :)

I'm back. Hope you all had a great new year and partied the year away ;)

I need some help with suggesting a case and a water cooling system to a customer. The case I suggested is the Coolermaster Cosmos Sport RC-1100.
Any other suggestions are welcome. Also, not too clued up on water cooling, so I need suggestions on a decent water-cooling system to go with the following specs:

Intel i7 965XE
GIGABYTE "Extreme Series" X58
Corsair 3 x 2GB DDR3 1333
Coolermaster Realpower 1250w
GTX280
2 x Raptor Hard Drives

Just something I am unsure of ... on the i7 boards, if your run 3 mem modules, it doesn't run at dual channel speed right, you need 6 modules to do that right?

Regards

Itai

DDR3 is triple channel and will run in triple channel mode no matter how many sticks you have in use afaik. I also read something somewhere about 3GB/6GB/12GB of DDR3 RAM performing better than 2GB/4GB/8GB, but i think you know that :p

Triple channel would need 3x1GB or 3x2GB or 3x4GB to run triple channel as far as I understand.

So instead of having a matched pair you would need a matched tri-set

I don't know much about watercooling, but I definitely agree with your choice in the Coolermaster Cosmos. Plenty space for whatever you want to put in there :D

PS: I see your forums are back online..lol >.<

Yeah ... well anyone for a suggestion on watercooling please let me know :p

And yeah ... it took me a week to get the hosting company to restore to older files. ******* for hacking me ... but he hacked the actual php bb ... not the server, so my online shop is safe.

Good to hear its all sorted :) Glad that b1tch didn't do anything too harmful

Just a note on the tripple channel story, i run 3 by 1gig ddr3 something or other for tripple channel and according to my boards manual if i add another gig i will still be running tripple channel even though i will have 4 sticks of ram.

mobo is the intel dx58so

No clue, i have a 4th stick shall check that it stays in tri channel

Okie added the 4th chip and it still says tri channel so no idea how it works but i am glad it does :)
