HI,
I am currently on 2+1GB on 8ta and want to switch to the 2GB+3GB on Afrihost.
This is what i am planning on doing.
I am gona purchase a MTN sim card, rica it, then switch it to a data only sim card.
Then i will load R150 of MTN airtime onto it and purchase the 2GB+3GB data deal.
Then i will put it into my E220 which is unlocked and i will download the dash board and hopefully connect.
Is this right or am is there something i am missing?
thanks

@DJinnes are you aware that this is a promotion until March 2014, thereafter they might revise there offer etc.

You don't have to purchase any MTN Sim card whatsoever you order your sim card via afrihost (includes free deliver) as they have to provision the sim card to make use of their network apn.

You have to pay Afrihost directly there is no other way to do this transaction, that means you pay by means of debit order/credit card.

Yes, you can use your own hardware/USB modem.

Go take time to read http://www.afrihost.com/landing/mobile_data/ and read their FAQ

Glad to hear that you're thinking of moving over to us.

As some mentioned here, you don't need to purchase an MTN data only SIM, we provide you with a FREE SIM and deliver it to you (and RICA you at the same time). You can then use the SIM in any compatible mobile device, depending on the SIM size you order.

We can also provision MTN contract SIMS to receive Afrihost Data - but not prepaid SIMs.
