HELP!!!!

Hi All
Am somewhat new to this but I am desperate for some Help!
I have an IPAQ with a BT-foldable keyboard and although the IPAQ " sees" the keyboard and pairs with it nothing happens when I try and type....if anyone can help I would appreciate it,

I am unforunately not very experienced with PDA troubleshooting, but the steps I would follow (and questions I would ask myself) are:

1) Am I sure that the keyboard is functional? i.e. Does it work with another device (preferably identical hardware) ?
2) Does my IPAQ peer with other bluetooth devices? If so, are they fully functional with no problems? And if not, I have my answer.
3) Where is my user manual? Does it have any instructions has to how to go about configuring this particular device with my IPAQ? If not, does it have generic instructions? Did I follow them? And are there any indications that would tell me if peering took place correctly?
4) Search google for the 3 variations of your situation: "IPAQ & model number", "IPAQ & model number AND keyboard's model number", "keyboard's model number"; looking for any problems or caveats that people have encountered
5) Check with whoever you bought the product from. Maybe they can help, or arrange for a replacement that DOES work
