Henry Cavill in Highlander reboot

The original Highlander was an integral part of my youth.

"I have something to say .... it is better to burn out than to fade away.." is still a daly mantra of mine.

I like Cavill. If there is one actor the can make this work it is him.

PS: I hope they stick to the original Queen theme song. That just cannot be replaced.

There can be only one ... Kurgan. And this Guardians of the Galaxy star is set to play the role of the immortal villain in the upcoming Highlander reboot.

According to Latino-Review, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista is set to play the role of the Kurgan in Summit’s upcoming Highlander reboot. Visual effects artist Cedric Nicolas-Troyan will helm the flick, and this will be his first directing gig.

I always liked the series more than the movies growing up. Series had that Connor Scott vibe you mention.

I remember when I was really young, primary school it showed early afternoon. I know, because I had an early bedtime for some time, which irritated me endlessly.
There was a Dracula series too that I was in love with, but never saw again.

Could possibly work, but there are too many similarities drawn in that case. I am a bit underwhelmed by Bautista since whatever zombie attempt Snyder tried to 'conceptualise' - that was horrible.

The Kurgan should be an old Norse/Russian, Slavic type. Since Cavill is doing so good at being The Witcher, he could possibly be cast as The Kurgan.
 
Highlander was the reason I used to carry two rulers to school.
Dual wield like a motherfakka when we used to play Highlander in class or during the break. :cool:

Lets see what they churn out, I'll keep my expectations low seeing how many shows has been reformed to fit inclusivity.
