Henry Cavill in Highlander reboot

But The Feels

Lets see what they churn out, I'll keep my expectations low seeing how many shows has been reformed to fit inclusivity.
It is not about inclusivity, regarding this IP and lore. McLeod is a young immortal. Ramirez played by Connery was supposed to be a Egyptian living through both Greek and Roman conquest. Yes, old immortals are game at adapting to the ever changing societal norms, but some traits are inherited.

Highlander the IP didn't invent immortality or their beheading, but it did establish The Game, the Quickening and The Gathering through duelling.

To reboot this movie I want to see 'old' immortals still living their days, things and views they hold on to. Likewise with the Highlander who should still be rooted as a Scot.

Back in the day, both the movie and series though not sharing the same timeline, they added good historical context as to why the Highlander is wielding a Katana. Small things add up to answer questions.

What I am suggesting is the same you see in Vampire lore.

You are missing the point which was I'm taking at piss at what normally happens/could happen.

I get that point, but I also ignore that point. All I can add is that I will far rather accept accuracy that forced inclusion. Immortal lore is incredibly rich, and inclusive, so the producers shouldn't intensify 'self-correction'.

Could possibly work, but there are too many similarities drawn in that case. I am a bit underwhelmed by Bautista since whatever zombie attempt Snyder tried to 'conceptualise' - that was horrible.

The Kurgan should be an old Norse/Russian, Slavic type. Since Cavill is doing so good at being The Witcher, he could possibly be cast as The Kurgan.
Nah he's too much of a nice guy to be convincing villain.
Problem now is that roles are assigned by measure of diversity and inclusiveness.
So Kurgen will be played by a black female who identifies as a Kitana.

So it has been "confirmed" that the Queen soundtrack will be retained in some manner for this reboot. It has also been described as John Wick with swords.

Agree with this bolded part in the comments on that site:
John Wick with swords?! Kind of missing the point of the original, then. I don’t really want to see Cavill go through 38 “immortals” in some scene like Wick does. Hopefylly they do the original justice and the fights matter with real stakes. The sword fighting will certainly be beautiful to watch, though.

I'm guessing that if he really translates it into a John Wick with swords, it will be MacLeod vs a bunch of non-immortals in a many-vs-one type fights scattered throughout the bulk of movie and then an occasional "boss level" of one-on-ones against other immortals.
It likely (hopefully) won't be a literal conversion of John Wick into Highlander, they're probably just trying to say it will be very physical and action oriented, but with sword fights as opposed to gun fights.
