Eskom publishes weekend load-shedding schedule — here is the timetable

Eskom has announced that load-shedding will drop to Stage 4 at 05:00 on Friday, 2 June, and remain until 05:00 on Saturday, 3 June.

From 05:00 on Saturday, Eskom will implement rotational power cuts ranging from Stage 2 to Stage 4.

Yes, that was in Eskom's original load-shedding timetable, which they said contained an error. We will confirm the stage on Sunday once Eskom corrects it.

Ah ffs so I still have 8 to midnight, would be nice if they stopped at 10pm.
Though honestly I'd love to know why stage 6 does still go past 10pm anyway.

Yesterday I had 8-12:30 and then a 2.5hr session at 2. So that's a whopping hour and half of electricity between 8 and 4:30.

for some of us those hours are filled with faults. must be good for eskom to shed so much beyond the official stages.

Yup it has been removed, wonder what it will be.

Turns out the suspension of load-shedding on Sunday was correct. The only error was the schedule for Thursday evening and Friday morning. Stage 6 will persist until 05:00 on Friday.

And that was the official shed-ule. Some people describe the sessions as two or four hours. I have no idea why as these days I find them pushing those extra half hour tags to the max. Also, more often they just slap on an extra hour+ and that is when I lose my schit. Solar install can't come soon enough.

Plus no water now for the past day+ and counting...

Yeah but even with the burning of the diesel demand goes down in some cases it's 4GW down

Pumped storage is +-3GW, so when they change direction the net effect is 6GW lost to the grid.
