Here is the Netflix SA full content library

Considering how much content has been chopped from the SA Netflix, it's unacceptable to charge the same amount. Would be much better value at R99pm.

Still, Netflix + ShowMax + UnoTelly (for BBC iPlayer and US Netflix) absolutely destroys DSTV for people who can go without sport.

I tried Netflix for the first time yesterday. Was disappointed with the SA only content, but Unotelly opens up a whole different world of content.

I am seriously considering moving to Netflix.

This is not something you consider. It is something you simply do :)

Dumped DSTV for Netflix/Hulu back in Nov 2012. Not looked back.
 
Wow they really need to get their title count up in order to get more people onto it. Alot of sad people at the moment after some hype about them coming to ZA
 
I'm guessing the title count is a bit low currently mostly because they have to get every show/movie approved by the FPB before they can make it available.

Even so, the price is amazing considering that there's no advertisements :)

A UnoTelly subscription will fix the lack of content, but that costs more money. It's outrageous that Netflix is charging countries like SA and India the same as they charge US customers, when we have a miniscule fraction of the content. If it was cheaper, it would be easier to add the expense of UnoTelly.

Nothing to do with manual approval of titles and everything to do with clashing content rights. Multichoice has the rights to almost all popular TV shows atm, including some Netflix original productions that aren't on SA Netflix.

Yes, managed to get it working yesterday with the south African Netflix account. I played around with getting the US version earlier by using a dns service but the flix2kodi did not want to log in. I could get the US library working in chromium.

I'm not at home so can't tinker atm

Wonderful news that the movie and series people are catered for. We sports fans are still waiting for the day there will be competition to SuperSport.
 
Not bad at all, not all regions are the same so we can expect a few shows missing here and there

Keep in mind that the majority of existing users are already aware of switching regions so..
 
I see on the flix2kodi forum that an update last night is causing the login issues. So my issues might be related to the update and not changing the region.

I don't think they are. Only the more technically savvy people I know are aware that it is possible to circumvent regional restrictions.

And in any case, that's not a reason to overprice the service. It needs value for money as it stands in SA.

That would be a sad day. DSTV is much cheaper than comprehensive sports coverage in the US and UK. For sports fans it's a great deal. If another broadcaster comes along and gets some exclusive sports rights then the sport will be segregated on two networks - not good for anyone.
