Herotel router access

That is a really kak router. :(

The Totolink routers is way better.
My Totolink is horrible, Make one mistake with a single port number and you end up wiping everything and starting over. you cannot delete a singe configuration as the names and port numbers are scrambled. also Mac address is entered without spaces or special characters.... Copy to notepad and save the dammed things. I hiss like a Tiger when I have to add or change things.

Can you add a Deco mesh system to the Herotel Fibre router? My understanding is the Deco Mesh system actually replace the router.

I can only speak on the deco side.

When you set it up you can choose to set it up in either AP or router mode.
If in AP mode then you don't need to make any changes to the router they all just need to be on the same LAN.
The smart guard and QoS services etc are deactivated.
in router mode you get all the features but it needs to be the router.

I run mine in AP mode not problem with the AP Mode for me I've got a decent tik as router.

Herotel router username: useradmin
password: adminuser
Wifi Password: Welcome123
literally made an account just to thank you. it works.
I had to add an access point to my network but herotel said I must buy a router from them (at my own cost) and have a technician come to install and set it up for me, now I can do it myself.

So all herotel users have the same WiFi password??
yes I asked the technician over the phone and they do basically use the same default password for all the routers.
I think you can change it if you want

They're not keen on sharing details, however I do have my parent's PPPoE details which happen to be the default login details for the router as well ;) You have to justify why you want it, else you're not getting it.

Those Totolinks aren't great. It likes to phone home to China every couple of seconds.
Hey you still active, I would like to see Those PPPoE details if you don't mind

I asked as well. Got a firm "No".

I was installing a wireless printer for a client on Herotel fibre and pressed the WPS / reset button a little too long while trying to connect.
I reset the router and lost internet.
A quick call to Herotel and they walked me though putting the clients' PPPOE details back on the router. All good. I then asked "Well, now I have access to one of your routers, I thought you frowned upon that?"
Lady says "Nah, well, Ja, fine. Have a nice day. Bye".
I was thinking of doing the same for mysw

I reset my router but I'm failing to login to admin page

Any update password? I've called in multiple times and they just give me a hard "NO" even ending the call when I try and explain why I want it ...
