Star Proteas batsman Herschelle Gibbs was arrested on a charge of drunk driving in Cape Town early this morning, reports Talk Radio 702.

Gibbs was arrested in Sea Point at about 2am this morning, according to the report.

Seriously... I thought drunk driving was a serious offence... or is it only when you kill someone... oh, I forgot, then it's mitigating circumstances...

How many of you guys there would still have your job after what these sportsmen get caught doing...?
Sometimes they forget who they are there to represent (other than themselves).

Have you noticed that a lot of people who seemed to get off of a lot of misbehaviour usually get punished in the end.

McBride - a long list of infractions, now drunk driving

I'll confess I my initial musings wandered in the same direction but that's from living in Sea Point for a couple of years before moving up here.
