Hetzner delivers impressive data centre power efficiency

Hetzner has announced the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) figures for its data centre in Samrand, Midrand.

PUE is a widely-accepted benchmark in the data centre industry to help determine how energy efficient an installation is.

With or without power efficiency, I'm a big fan of Hetzner. I think they've even pipped Domains.co.za to my favourite host. The server options at Domains seem very limited by comparison, backups are not daily (or free), cPanel is a costly extra with the VPS servers, they don't offer free Let's Encrypt SSL, don't have a hosted Cloudbric special deal like Hetzner etc.

PUE of 1.2 is impressive. However it's a complex measure so would need more info to fully appreciate it
