hey, check this out

You realise, of course, that this excludes your line rental. Which at just 512kbps slaps another R326 onto that monthly bill, and still half the speed of iBurst. Jus' sayin'.

Azimuth the BIG difference is with the 512 line it works out to R471 instead of R599 AND R29 per gig topup instead of R200

Jannie is actually $h|tting himself right now!

Azimuth, why are you so pro I-Burst do you work for them?

Even with 4Mbps its R558 only.. and cheap topup..

Ah, excellent points there - I forget that DSL topups are so much cheaper. Bleh, I wish Telkom could sort out the line faults in my house. Stupid Telkom. :<

Don't worry Azi we still love you... but if I weren't on contract with Iburst I would be gone so fast heads would spin!

I just started drooling when I saw R29 for 1GB top up. Heck, at this price I'm considering getting ADSL at my rented house.

A stupid question... but why are Iburst (or other wireless providers) topup bundles so much more expensive than adsl topup bundles?

Because they have to maintain their towers, I suppose...

We've been told a number of times not to compare iBurst prices with ADSL.

But I use iBurst as if it was ADSL, so I will continue to do so...:p

Iburst is a fixed wireless... they are more ADSL than 3g so comparing total cost to ADSL is fair. Technically it should be a bit cheaper as there is no local loop. As the ping etc will always be worse
