Hi speed Mweb service

Not cool man - someone know if there is a Mweb/WebAfrica rep here to look at this?

High speed and mweb in the same sentence is an oxymoron

Im having the exact same problem with Mweb at the moment. Its been 2 weeks now where i have high international latency and packetloss especially during peak times. Ive called them 6 times and each time they give me different and vague reasons. Nobobdy else i know on vumatel and mweb is having any issues. Ive sepent around R70 airtime and ive lost R200 worth of game time now. Been with them for 10 years with barely any issues.

Did you get a resolution on this,I've been having this issue for a month now and their support refuse to take responsibility

Hi, yeah a week after that i tried their facebook messenger to see if i could get some help. I sent them ping and trace tests and nothing changed for another week. So its been about a month at that point with this issue. I complained because nobody could tell me what was going on. One of their technicians phoned me and also gave super vague answers and clearly did not want to talk to me. He didnt want to listen to any of my questions and i could hear he got annoyed when i did ask anything. I think that pissed me off the most. So i was just over it and i told them i want to cancel my accounts and then the next day it was all magically fixed. i even got a call from them explaining it was an issue blabla. Its all BS man. I was definitely being intentionally throttled. The moment i asked them to cancel my accounts they woke up and sorted it out.

Annnnnnnnd its back. Having the same issues again. Mweb just sucks with routing man.

My experiences with Mweb over the course of a decade or so have always led me the conclusion that this is an organization that you want to avoid having anything to do with at all costs.

Has anybody else been having problems with their internet speed (specifically MWEB) since the beginning of December. There was an outage early December and since then my speed has been all over the place. The whole of last week I was getting readings of 1-2mbs download speed but my upload speed was at times normal. The last couple of days I'm at least getting readings of 20mb down but that is still well below 50% what I am paying for.

I was also annoyed to discover that sometime after October MWEB has removed the option to log a technical issue (amongst other things) on the online profile and I have to either talk to a chatbox or worse a customer service person.

Pretty much. I see I only ever once had dealings with them 15 years ago, and back then I told them to p1ss off because they were throttling me on ADSL

I have the same issue. I was with Mweb for 5 years no issues perfect speeds no latency then moved house in Dec (what a shitshow that was i have a post about it) and had to go with webafrica. I get horrendous speeds after 3/4pm till after midnight. Spent a week with tech testing and sending screenshots of speed tests it came right for a day or two but i see tonight its back to being **** again.

Waiting for closer to month end to move. Getting prepared to fight them on the cancellation fee as well im sure. From what i have seen and experienced, they have no support, they either dont know what the issue is or they dont care. Time to move on to someone else.
