Do they have any sort of warranty? I have a year old pair like that... they're not as dirty tho lol. Maybe they've just not seen the outdoors much like yours seem to have.Hi guys. So these are two months old...and just look what is happening.

I chucked the till slip away. My fault. Won't buy HI-TEC again though.Take them back and get them refunded.
Never buy again.
Same reason I won’t touch Merrell products.

I will email their customer care with the pictures and see what they say.Not enough reason to not go refund it. Find the payment on your card and go back to them and let them find the invoice if they insist on it. But failing that go straight to Hi-Tec and complain. If they don’t refund it at least they can send you a different pair of shoes that will hopefully be better.
I had some Bronx that were two years old or more and claimed to be genuine leather and then started peeling. Complained to them and got a brand new pair of shoes of a different model no questions asked.
Same thing happened with far more expensive Merryls less than six months old, they couldn’t be bothered on any level to accept their false advertising and told me it’s standard wear and tear. I needed to ship the shoes to them at my cost for “investigation”.
Hi-Tec may just be a good company who actually cares about their customers and brings you around to stay with them by look in after you.
I’d happily buy Bronx again if they had shoes I liked.
Bought them for R799.00 at Total SportsThey were good in the day
My last pair over 10 years ago did the same
Lasted less than 3 months
Probably fakes
For R400 I should have known better
And that was from a very well known shop in Canal Walk N1 City![]()

Saw it on their websiteYep.. Had a similar issue.. And then 2 more issues with 2 new pairs of shoes i received from them...just complain to.Hitec... Drop me a PM and ill give you the email address if you need it.
I wear mine every day admittedly but I don't run or hike with them. Office and driving pretty much.I have a pair the same as yours - Conan Black trail running shoes from what I can tell. My current pair is doing fine with some signs of wear and tear with daily usage indoors and outdoors since beginning of this year, but we should remember that at R800 these are really low-end and can't expect huge amounts of durability compared to most other takkies. Hi-Tec has been a solid budget brand for me.
