Hidden price increase on Mr D and Uber Eats

take my money...if i don't need to put on my pant and deal with kak drivers on the road and stand in the shop twiddling my thumbs while they finish my food then I'm ok with that premium...

mind you i usually just buy when there's a voucher...usually writes of that mark-up...
 
Yes back in the day 2019-2021 they were cheap as chips with regular 75% off specials. McD's Big Tasty large for R30 etc. Nowadays it's just too expensive. I'll either walk or fire up my airfryer. Huge markup on food, service charge, delivery charge and then the driver wants a tip as well. Madness.

R30 voucher writes off the 40% markup and additional R30 in delivery and services fees?

and your Airfryer will be done cooking long before the delivery driver gets you your cold food.

Usually when there's a buy 1 get 1 free it does. However Uber recently stopped allowing us to stack discounts. So if it's already on special you can't get a further discount by using a voucher or get free delivery. So I uninstalled.
