Does any one know of a anonymous proxy software to install on your pc to hide your IP when you surf the internet and its freeware??

Hmmm... mine is not to question why... but to suggest you have a look here...

http://www.torproject.org/

Tor prevents anyone from learning your location or browsing habits.
Tor is for web browsers, instant messaging clients, remote logins, and more.
Tor is free and open source for Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix, and Android

Um... Peerblock does not hide IP or assure anonymity... all it does it prevents your machine from connecting to or peering with a list of websites / hosts that are known to keep a log of IP address of torrent / p2p downloaders. Peerblock's primary use is to filter out possible sniffer sites that keep tabs of torrent / p2p downloaders and it blocks any traffic to and from these. Hence "peer" + "block".

The only easy and quick IP anonymiser that does not require a purchase is the TOR option mentioned above. It routes your traffic through a number of proxy servers so that the end result is an IP address associated with these and not you or your machine. It is ISP independent and works pretty well... although it does slow things down a bit while surfing the web as you proxy hop...

thanks

While i was posting this and searching for a program, i came across this program " Free Hide IP" its freeware but if you pay for the pro one then you have multiple country's to choose from, and each country has its own IP. SO the freeware has the USA country and only that IP. The internet is fast and can play game's but dont know if it realy works. SO if any one tested it please let me know.
