High end pc vs ps3 vs xbox

You missed my point and I'm too tired to even try to explain to you.
And you failed to see mine. Take a console apart and you will be fairly surprised. Maybe the arrow is jabbed to deep into your head and messed around with your logic?

Your point was ridiculously obvious laddie but that is not the point :)

I suggest you come back to this thread after reaching puberty in order to maintain the maturity level required for a topic of this nature.

Great, now go invite your mates over for a few beers and crowd around your PC trying to play against each other. Let's see how much fun that is.

PS: It's pointless looking good when things get choppy every few seconds because of the constant reads/write going on in the OS background. And that's before you have to sit hunch-backed in front of your crappy 22" monitor :)

Your comparison, is like comparing a limo, to a two seater Ferrari.

Screw your friends. No one buys a gaming platform to play it with your mates. You buy it for yourself. Its handy to have, if your mates come over.

Well oiled pc's dont have Frame rate drops.

I have both a pc and a ps3. Both have their ups and their downs. It comes down to what you want to do with ur platform. I spend more time infront of the PC, than the PS3, mainly because there is more to do on the PC. Things such as raping forums, downloading torrents, playing mmo's, etc.

Gaming Consoles are for the masses.

Gaming PCs are for gaming connoiseurs.

I used to buy consoles when I was a lighty...I am older and wiser now.

LOl, really? Is that what you believe? So as a matter of interest, as a "connoiseur", what games have you been playing recently?

yeah you can play pong from 1972 if you wanted...

never seen a console play a 40 year old game before - how's that for backwards compatibility?

What is a game "Connoiseur"? Do they only play games that are "refined"? Maybe games that are not accessible by the masses?

Let's wait for his official response - should be quite entertaining. ;)

I take it he means games that you need to think, like CSS/COD, MOBA's (HoN/DotA), Simulation games/space-sims, Real-time strategies, MMO's, etc, over the xbox "arcadey" tipe games (Guitar hero, Street fighter, and the like)

Generalise much?

How about a 3 or 4kVA UPS to protect all that dosh from Eskom and still be able to run for about 4 hours without power...

PC games will always look better, run better and give more diversity in game play action.
The advantage of the PC is the ability to customise and upgrade components. Yes, a pc is probably more expensive to maintain and upkeep than a console, but then again, you'll always have the latest hardware, and be and won't end up being a redundant museum piece like a console in a few years time. PC's might end up costing more, but you get what you pay for. PC games are also cheaper than console releases.
