there u go, all the other exchanges are fine, except the one that is getting a 60 ping. Its proberly overloaded. If u tracert one of the sgs servers u will see that you go through that exchange. Players in cpt dont go through it, so they get lower pings than most jhb players.

Latency

I play AmericasArmy quite often,and was used to pings anywhere between 80 and 150 ms - very bad indeed but I got used to it. A few days ago I got gatvol of that POS marconi I got from telkom and installed a low end pc with smoothwall running the router in bridged mode. WALA I now get 20-40 ms pings going to the same servers.

DAM THE NET IS FAST AT WORK. I just donloaded msn8 (15meg) in under 10sec

dude then it was cached on a local server and downloaded/retrieved from there at approaching max network speed.

btw.. 15mb/10sec = ~ 1.5kB/s = 12Mbps
22.9MB/13 sec = ~ 1.761KB/s = 14.09Mbps

i think its 6meg if im not mistaken (no one knows but I did a line spead test and got 6.sum)

i can use anything I want here lol
there is isdn, dail up, adsl, and wireless.
but the speed on the network varies on average we download at about 100kb/s depending on trafic (like now there is no traffic so im geting well over 2meg/s - not over local) on a slow day we get about 40.
can u c y i have dailup at home?
