High quality things.

So you say I wouldn't regret going that route? Wanted that for a ling time, but always walk out of the store just before I swipe the card. Then wonder if the cheaper version would just work aswell.

I've tried the cheaper knives, but after my first chef knife worth more than the average Le Crueset pot, I would never go back!

I go by the Anthony Bourdain logic.

If you were to hypothetically hit someone with the pan and ponder which one will bend then the pan is ***.

I'm hoping to get a Le Cruset soon as well.

Till then my good old cast iron will have to do.

Going out for dinner.

Since the offspring arrived it has become a luxury item and the wife and I treat it as such.

A night without the kids is planned way in advance so that we are sure we can get a booking at a proper restaurant that in no way caters for kids.

Woolworths fruit is pricey but the best by far it tastes much better and lasts much longer.

Le Crueset pans.

I was shocked by the prices for a long time. Then got a voucher from a friend and coughed upped the rest for one of their non-stick saute pans.

There is absolutely no comparison to anything I've ever had. Collection has grown to cast iron skillet and sauce pot now.

Totally agree, love Le Crueset ceramics as well.

+1

I've gone in and asked for the cheapest GPU three times, and each of those fans packed up in around a year ...

I was looking for a sub but I have too many other things to do with my money unfortunately. :(

Yes, have you tested for yourself?

Nope, was just curious cos they addressed color and freshness. Incidentally, the color of the yoke is directly related to the food the birds eat. Within that, most birds are fed a diet predominantly made up of maize. And within that it varies whether it is fed white or yellow maize, depending on what's available/cheaper. Yellow maize would give a deeper orange colored yoke. However it shouldn't affect taste. I tend to prefer buying organic, more for ethical reasons.

I started buying for ethical reasons and then bought a batch of normal eggs because no free range were available and noticed a huge difference in taste and colour. Now if they don't have free range I dont bother buying them and source them elsewhere.

I am always sceptical when I read a article that doesn't add up to my first hand experience. The industry releases propaganda to try to convince the public of their agenda so I always make up my own mind. Unlike you who respectfully chooses the ethical option not everyone is that way inclined and will happily buy normal eggs if they are cheaper and they see no perceived difference in quality.

I also only buy free range eggs there definitely is a difference.
