High quality things.

I bought myself a Scheaffer rollerball a while ago. Not a fancy one, but not your run of the mill ballpoint either. One day I'll move up to a Mont Blanc or similar, but I'm terrified of losing it or having it stolen.

As foe the whiskey, I like a nice Glen Grant neat every now and then. The only whiskey thus far that doesn't make my head hurt if I end up overindulging, which I am putting down to the fact that it is a single malt whiskey.

As for the bedding, it's hard to go back to the normal 180 count bedding after I was given an Egyptian cotton set one year as a gift. So soft :D

Lastly, I like my filter coffee that I get at Mastertons here in PE. I am by no means a coffee snob but I can't stand this chicory nonsense that passes as coffee lately.

You should get a proper coffee maker. Hard to enjoy anything else much once you do.

And Mastertons ftw, especially their Alaskan Snowgoose beans.

I'd love a De Longhi machine but eish, maybe one day when they are on special. :p

Used to do a lot of traveling, and one thing I don't skimp on till this day is quality traveling bags.

Anything from gym duffel bags, vanity cases, hiking bags, backpacks, laptop bags etc.

Yeah definitely. Feels like you're running on a cloud the first time you break the bank for a pair.
 
Another I'd like to add to the list would be car tyres and brake pads. When things go wrong the last thing you want are skidding tyres or glazed over brake pads.

I currently run Firestone TZ200's on my i30 and while they are noisy I have never once had my car go skittish while driving in the rain. My old Continental PremiumContacts on the other hand would trigger my Traction Control lights if they so much as sniffer water.

I also have Deselra brake pads on currently, they have zero brake fade to speak of but they are quite dusty and wear down pretty fast. On the other hand I'd rather replace pads than discs...

True, and work shoes. After years of woolworths shoes I started paying more for decent quality shoes like Rockport that wear better and last longer.
Similarly Levis fit better and more consistently.
Knives and pans, not worth skimping.
Lastly, cycling shorts are not an area you want to go cheap on...

With this I have learned to do proper research before buying products and 9 and of 10 times I start to do research I end up paying a lot more than I thought I would but at least the more expensive stuff lasts. .
