This happened about 5 minutes from where I live. My In-Laws drove past just after it happened and saw 1 in a body bag and another two in handcuffs.

Agreed. But there are always dangers to taking the law into your own hands however I can completely understand why the driver shot the Hijacker. I know I would in a situation like that.
