Hire UTP/CAT5 Cable Tester/Certifier

I'm looking to hire a UTP/CAT5 Cable Tester/Certifier like a Fluke, Wavetech or Lantech for a few days. Who would be able to assist me with this?

From what I remember, they're pretty cheap...

I would imagine that any hiring costs could come to the same amount as buying outright.

R600 was more than I thought. You get them in those networking toolkits (along with punch, stripper, crimping tool, etc)... those definitely aren't R600.

If you're in JHB check out scoop distribution they have a couple cheaper ones when I last looked...

Trust me guys if it was just R600 then I would not hesitate for a moment to go out and buy one. The testers/certifiers I'm referring to are all over R100K to purchase.

Where are you located? There are several companies that hire out testers.

I think the people here think you are talking about one of those pisswilly things that just check the wire maps & continuity. A proper tester used to certify installations is more expensive than a new small car.
