So my current phone finally gave up the ghost and since I'm in a bit of a cash crunch I am looking at the cheaper phones, my limit being R2 000.00. Since I'm sequestrated I can't go with a contract. So I have to buy it cash and use my current sim in it. I have seen that the Chinese phones offer good value for money, in particular Huawei and Hisense. My wife has a Huawei and she loves it. My question - does anybody own a Hisense phone and what has your experience been with it ? Looking at the Hisense E70 Pro model.

Well I mean it will be a phone, rather sluggish more than likely, not a lot of storage and a camera from the early 10s

I had a 2k Hisense and detested that thing.. I broke it within a week, throwing it against a wall, because every thing was slow and rather went without a phone for the next month until I could get something proper..

Go to your local cash crusaders/converters and see if they have something decent second hand for 2k..

You can get a Samsung (A05) or Honor phone at R1999.

Hisense is more like your Mobicel, you will pull your hairs out of your head. Not that the cheap ones above are all that, but they will be more usable than what you are looking at.

Stay away from Hisense. Software is sluggish making it very frustrating to use

Im in a similar position, just got a R2k odd to spend. Going to try the Samsung A05s. Seems about the best value for money.
