I'm with Afrihost and have been experiencing poor YouTube performance over the last few months. Gets better now and then, but looks like IPv6 solves it for the most part on my laptop and phone.

Problem is I have a Hisense U6G TV, which unfortunately is running VIDAA and not Android TV. It is connected to my MikroTik router using IPv4 DHCP. There is no IPv6 option. YouTube sometimes runs awfully because of this.

Does anyone know how to:
  1. Set up IPv6 on a Hisense U6G TV with VIDAA
  2. Or route IPv4 to an IPv6 address on MikroTik?
Thanks

My current solution to this:

You can set up CloudFlare Warp using WireGuard. It's a very lightweight VPN tunnel. MikroTik routers support WireGuard.

I used wgcf (https://github.com/ViRb3/wgcf) to register and generate a profile. Then I configured my router using this tutorial:

Then instead of routing all traffic from all IPs through the WireGuard interface, I assigned a static IP to the TV and only route the TV.

Works like a charm.
