HIV groups call for condoms inside stadiums

I was wondering, when you give out condoms for free, how do you know that the person receiving the condoms will get the right size? Say he is really really big but gets an average size condom for free, would it not break and render the condom useless then?

i think one will be able to get the thing on irrespective of size but the comfort will be a problem. i prefer the King Size option cos it goes on easier, stays on and is comfortable too. There isn't a huge difference in size though.

The latest idea behind why HIV is so prevalent in Southern Africa and not for example in Thailand, Israel and Peru is that there is a greater culture of multiple sexual partner concurrency here. While the sexual act itself is not immoral, the act of infidelity to your partner is in many cultures or at least dishonesty is seen as immoral - by concurrent we mean more than one partner over the same period - as in having 2-3 girlfriends and regularly attending them. In the rest of the world people usually follow serial monogamy and stay loyal to one partner till they break up with that person and move onto someone else. One could argue that there is an issue of morality - do I stay faithful to the girl I love or do I just do it with multiple girls knowing also I'm putting all of them at risk of HIV acquisition.

lol. You've obviously never been to Thailand where it's a teenage and up trend to have as many "giks" as possible (sexually partners who you are not committed to). There is almost no taboo against this at all.

Hiv is no more prevalent here than the rest of Africa. You're just more likely to have been tested making it SEEM more prevalent. Why do you think our HIV rates match up with the other developing countries in sub Saharan Africa and the really poor countries don't show as high figures ? It's just poor data that's all.

Anyway hiv isn't nearly as prevalent here as they would have you believe with this drama queen 1in 3 rubbish they used to state. Now revised to 1 in 5. That's a silly number. not even 1 in 5 south african have herpes...a disease much easier to get than HIV (which takes on average a minimum of 500 sexual unprotected exposures to someone with the disease to have a decent chance of getting it). Anyway this whole thing is complicated and no one can quite explain why there is a high prevalence in sub Saharan Africa. It's been suggested there's a genetic trigger but again until they actually isolate the so called retro-virus and prove it does what they think it does there's no point even talking about any of this.

You're obviously all about anecdotes and small, biased sample sizes. Of course if you sample hookers in Bangkok you will get skewed results but once you sample across the whole population the picture differs.

You kidding me? There is an almost unanimous concensus that HIV causes AIDS. We're now discovering that chronic HIV infection also contributes to the development of coronary artery disease, chronic obstructive airways disease, various cancers and stroke.

Secondly there is a lot of data for partner concurrency and HIV. Google for it.

Wow jumped on that almost as if you have some vested agenda ! Where did i ever say anything about the causality between HIV and Aids ? There's no consensus on what the disease does, how it does it and how to treat it. So settle down before you give yourself a heart attack old timer.

The term isn't for teenagers. My point was that even from a young age it's a trend to have multiple sexual partners. And I know it because pom koy yoo tee prathet thai sam rup sam pee na krap. But I won't offer insults Peter. Just one observation. You're out of touch.
