Aim to get cctv with Ai human ID with output to an alarm.

I think i will go for this approach. I do have a spare system PC available, should be a fun project to do this. The money I save can be used for this.
Anyways the alarm company wants to charge me R4500 for a new sensor installation

Check your building insurance policy. Normally all permanent fixtures are covered. Depending on your excess this avenue might be worth exploring

Last few years I had claimed for an inverter and battery and burst geyser and aircon. Insurance already complaining that I have claimed a lot, don't think it's a good idea to add more claims.
The new sensor will cost me 2500, and the excess is 1000. I think I will do it myself.
But before that I will play around with the detection angles of this existing sensor.
