No other reason has present itself, thus far.
We've had some issues recently with the actual EWeLink account. Could you also register a new account and try that?

But strange enough when I use android I am able to download the data so it seems ios related. I am a bit disappointed with the data thought it would give me Amps as well during a specific period.

Received feedback from itead forums. Download only works on Android, not ios...
Seems OK now. Seema about 15 hours ago that wasn't the case.
I don't understand why their AWS infrastructure doesn't scale well.

These are very low bandwidth devices.
They shouldn't really tax your WiFi at all even when there are hundreds.
Only problem then would be running out of address space and needing to make a plan there.

I definitely do notice some wifi instability after I add a new device. In this case it was a Sonoff basic, but when the family streamed some Showmax later the wifi dropped a couple of times.
It seems to eventually stabilise.
Addresses are handled by a Mikrotik and there should be enough at this point.

Nope, no WPS.
It's a TP-Link Archer C9 -- works fine most of the time and unlike my previous TP-Link I don't have to plug it into a timer switch to "reboot" every morning. But still it feels a bit unstable every now and then and it does feel as if adding an additional device causes it to freak out for a bit before stabilizing.

Seems an upgrade is in order. These consumer routers are’t really designed for the type of load being onto them with the huge number of devices that are connected to them. My suggestion is to go for a stand alone router that can take care of bringing the internet into your house and go with a dedicated access point or even two or three access points that work with each other to manage device connectivity. Ubiquiti comes to mind.
