Tasmota?

Then you need to put a fake relay on GPIO4.

I had the relay connected to GPIO1 to open my gate. GPIO14 and GPIO3 sense when the the main gate or small gate has been opened respectively.
Thanks I will stick a dummy relay on GPIO4 and see if that helps.

So to end this I need to switch to Tasmota? I'm hoping Itead's helpdesk comes up with a solution so I can stay with eWelink
The main reason I went off eWelink was that if the Internet had issues, all my control was gone, but it seems like the newer firmware allows for LAN control?

Correct. I've had some internet issues the last month, and I've seen my switches go over to LAN mode even without me selecting the option.

Does anyone use anything for presence detection in a room?

And I don't mean a motion sensor but rather a persistent presence detection. Infrared temperate based I guess?

Like an alarm zone thing but without the silly light going on?

Okay so here’s a question.

If there is a Paradox PIR in the room already could I “bridge” its wiring to get its status out to something else while it’s connected to the alarm?

And what would that something be? Does it carry power from the alarm all the way to the PIR side to run something? Or would it be done alarm side?

I would say no. You would need to connect the alarm panel through the prt3 module or ip150 to something for example a raspberry pi running something like home assistant or hassio. This would then give the zone status in home assistant which you can use to do automations or control pgms etc. There might be other ways to do it though but I’m not sure. What exactly are you trying to do?

You might be able to just wire to the NO NC Com of the pir. I have an outdoor pir wired to the alarm and also to an ip camera. I think the alarm wiring is for an evo bus and the camera goes to the no and com though.

I might be wading into an area where I'm pretty clueless, but isn't that what konnecteds interface module does?

Nope, I could never make that work.

Either the serial output just simply doesn't work (could never get anything out of it) or it's simply too old to interface with what is around.

My daughter is 5 years old so can't really use her mobile phone status (has no SIM) or anything like that to detect when home or not.

So wanted to do some automation based on her lack of presence, like have the heated panels not go on if she's not home etc.

Also on a completely different topic I've started to fiddle with Node-Red and I've gotten the basics of putting a light on and off working.

Now my problem is there appears to be no timer function anywhere? Am I blind or is it built into something else or what?

You can either use the Inject node, or install bigtimer. There's also a Delay function.
