Me neither... I have T1's and I actually want to get them out.
You have to look at the lightswitch when you use it, which is a bit of a pain.

I've gone the route of starting to use Mini's with these latching switches that don't have an on/off position.

These switches are cheap... and feel a bit cheap, but I haven't found any other switch that operates the same.Call it a non-positional latching switch for a lack of a better word.

The only downside is the cost of mini's, and I believe with some soldering you could do the same with a basic - but at R60 more per switch circuit (mini vs basic cost) I'm ok with the mini route.

This setup has the highest spouse and visitor acceptance factor too. No one will know you have a smart home.

Edit: On another note, I have 2 x 3 gang T1's and 1 x 2 gang T1's that I'm looking to sell or trade for a few mini's if anyone is keen.

Yeah, I had some printed as well - still not 100% convinced.
Anyone can just pull the switch off the wall if they wanted to... and were stupid enough to.
 
Thanks to all the folks who responded to my question on magnetic switches for garage door and gate . Gonna try to get it done in the next week.

I'll buy the 2 gang ones depending on cost as I will use voice control. Loving it with the plugs.

My reluctance to insert sonoffs into switches is issue of insurance? Not sure it doesn't give insurance an out if something happens?
 
Update on Wyze cams at least streams better on dumb samsung 32". Still bit of a drag but once streaming at least seems real time vs on Hisense 65" its way behind the action.

There's been some backwards and forwards on this between various people on the forum, but I belief Sonoff's have the relevant certifications - however if you're installing them yourself then an electrician would still need to give a CoC. I haven't tried yet, but I think your everyday sparky is going to be a bit confused when he opens up your boxes and sees these.

BUT... sparkies also don't open up anything - so if they're in your boxes behind switches, they will probably give you CoC since they are none-the-wiser.

When I had a CoC done for selling, they didn't open any of the light switches.
They opened a single plug box, because they detected interference on that specific line at the DB board, and so wanted to investigate. Was a loose cable, when seated and screwed back in properly interference was gone.

Also, when I opened a light switch which had an edge dimmer controller in, there was no certification sticker on it whatsoever. How can that be allowed, but a mini or shelly can not be allowed? This is something you can buy at a hardware store.
 
On my gate SV Hass is saying sensor state unknown.

I set the topic name in tasmota console

But it doesn't seem to want to retain it.
