For the new T1 I see you can use it with RF as well, which is great. Just to check though, if my wifi is down will I still be able to switch the light on and off using the switch? The app won't work if wifi is down of course, but RF and the switch would still?

I'm interested with the see with the T433 if you can still use the RF without WiFi - will let you know when we have stock of both.

Please note: we have just been told by Sonoff the the RF frequency is 315Mhz and not 433Mhz on the Sonoff T1 AU/US.

So tell me, out of interest, about icasa and sabs approvals for this stuff?
 
Anyone here using the CT60 PIRs with the EweLink app? I've got a couple hooked up, they work okay; I get a notification when one of the PIRs triggers but the alarm history is not working on the app so I don't know which PIR has triggered. I have enabled Alarm History in the Settings on the app. I opened a ticket with ITEAD yesterday morning, waiting for a response.

There's some debate about ICASA exemptions and the Sonoff devices have very low radiation levels.

For the SABS stuff - the road to hell is apparently paved with the NRCS. There is some movement here, and it will happen in the next few months.

Where did you source them from? Perhaps we can buy some to test.

...and there is no keychain remote that is 315Mhz? So that renders the RF functionality somewhat useless for us.

From the Sonoff store on Banggood. The first one I got to test had a fault, it would trigger for no reason but the history at least showed me the alarm time so I could differentiate between devices. I've got a couple of fresh ones now, they seem to work okay but the history is not working, I assume that is an app failure rather than a device fault.

It should be - but like phaktza says, it's a nightmare. We've been chatting to the guys and got some advise - but it's really tough. We are trying to look for an agency to assist with the nightmare.

Once a product it's certified, it's certified. The only 'iffy' part with the past devices is that according to ICASA, a sticker needs to be on the box and device.

Yeah, just send through a few extra stickers with everyones next order :p
 
Just ordered my Sonoff T1 3 gang switch.. Hopefully everything goes well with getting stock and I get it by month end.

Going to run a negative back down to the switch from one of the light fixtures, that should hopefully do the trick.

How to you connect neutral to downlights?
