You'd be surprised :p Reason I had it in Excel is using a different column for different things, e.g. the binary sensors, automation, HADasboard, etc. Then just copy and paste, less chance of manual error.
 
Is there a way to allow HA to "discover" sensors, switches, etc via MQTT instead of having to type them all out, just get HA to discover them all and all one would need to do is change the names of the entity IDs. :)

Yes HA can discover based on mqtt.
 
To access your Tasmota device either:
• Create a WiFi hotspot on your smart device with the SSID "smartkit" and password "password" (no quotes); find the device IP; enter the IP in the smart device browser; change your WiFi settings
• Start Wifi smartconfig, with 3 short presses, allowing for SSID and Password configuration using an Android mobile phone with the ESP8266 SmartConfig app. The LED will blink during the config period. A single button press during this period will abort and restart sonoff.
• Put the device in WiFi manager mode with 4 short presses - you should then see an SSID of Sonoff-xxxx; connect to Sonoff-xxxx; enter 192.168.4.1 in your browser; change your WiFi settings
• Start Wifi Protected Setup (WPS), with 5 short presses, allowing for SSID and Password configuration using the router's WPS button or webpage. The LED will blink during the config period. A single button press during this period will abort and restart sonoff.

Had me scratching my head for a second or two..

Now to spend the rest of the day listening to a Tomorrowland mix and figuring how the fsck HA works :p
 
Just connected my flashed POW R2 to my pool pump, am able to connect via the device's own Tasmota gui and toggle it on and off - all good.

Before I try connect it to HA, do I need to configure anything on the Tasmota GUI of the device?

In the "Configure Module" screen I have the following:

Module Type: Sonoff Basic
GPIO1 Serial Out : 00 None
GPIO3 Serial In : 00 None
GPIO4 : 00 None
GPIO14 Sensor : 00 None

I don't image this being correct, what do I set this to?
Secondly, is it possible to view power consumption on the Tasmota gui, or can I only view that through HA?

And lastly - guess I need to redo my hass.io on my Pi - forgot my credentials for the Configurator.
 
Change the module type to the correct one and let it reboot.

Yes it can Discover but stupidly it doesn’t populate the files using this information and it sits in memory instead.
 
I just went ahead and configured all the zones, etc. works like a charm. Now I just need to propagate when the alarm goes off as well as allow remote arm/disarm/stay, etc to HA and I’ll be set. Found out during this process that I have 3 windows/doors where their contacts are not working at all and one door that is attached to the wrong zone. Time to call out my armed response company to fix that. :)

Haven't connected it to HA yet, need to redo my HA.
Just using the scheduler on the Tasmota gui to schedule the pool pump on and off.

Edit: Can see the time in the console screen.
 
Can the Sonoff RF be flashed to Tasmota, but still allow me to use the "Sonoff T433 86 Type RF Remote" for wall mount?

Looking to install one of those infrared bathroom heaters (comes with a plug already on it), and then use the combination of the Sonoff RF and the T433 to switch it on and off.

Not quite sure how they expect the infrared heaters made for the bathroom to be plugged in, and switched on/off.
