Isnt the black a neutral?

It should be but I think they screwed up the wiring colours.

Unless I'm wrong. Why would neutral be running to a switch?

I would expect it to be the live/hot wire with no neutral in that circuit.

A volt meter would be the best bet to be sure.

In most SA setups there wouldn’t be a neutral to make installs easier.

Don't ever assume you can tell which wire is which by color. I have orange and purple wires in some of my boxes. No joke

So my second switch I wanted to install a Shelly on won't work... Did the wiring exactly the same - going to try the other switch box - not sure if it makes a difference

Other switch box worked. weird. Tight squeeze though as that switch box has three switches and a dimmer.

What are you guys currently running your HA on? Im running mine on a RasberryPI, but feel like it is taking a little bit of strain.

HP Gen8 micro server. Had it on a pi3, but it died from strain.

Enable the system sensors in HA and check if its taking strain.

Yeah we don't have much info on the mini yet - except price.

If anyone wants a SONOFF RFR3 and RM433 let me know. We have some samples.

10A vs 16A with the Shelly

I've was never really impressed with the quality of Sonoff - and its annoying that they make it so difficult to flash. So far, I'm enjoying the Shelly. No issues yet.

I guess this is rubbing on bare metal so might be trickier in docker.
