Home Automation - Smartkit

The pricing will be 10-15% more than the T1, about the same without RF.

They haven't been released yet with the US/AU dimensions. Should get stock mid July.
Looking good, once they arrive, keep us updated on price, and how they fit into the SA switch box. I would be looking at about 5 single units and 6 double units.

Damn, do you still have T1’s? I still have the faulty 3L and I need to get a few more for the rest of the house - won’t really like having two different models in the house...

1Cs and 3Cs left.

I have 2 of 3 switches and 1 of 2 switch t1's that i may want to get rid of, I just need to find the time to test the Shelley setup. Been busy with other things around the house and I keep putting off climbing into the roof.

Does anyone have the 3D printing template that fits the T1 light switches better than the stock version?

I'm pushing my requirements for my front yard flood lights. I want it to be able to be controlled on my home assistant, but also work on one of my Sherlo remote buttons.

I have all the parts, now just to wire this all nicely together in a box with decent connectors so that it looks good and is safe.

@Shellyb1 Shoot me a PM, I can help.
Hopefully the new light switches fit better. Other then that I don't see any reason to swop out my existing T1's.

Hi all, has any company in SA got stock of the Shelly units yet. I am keen to give them a try, but I am not keen on ordering from overseas.

Nobody yet AFAIK....

Wired in the 2.5s and the Shelly1 to my lights today.... It has brought up an annoying issue though.. The quality of my light switches leaves lots to be desired so I will need to investigate changing them to something better...

Other than that little issue the Shelly's are great...

We're hoping in about two months. Allterco is having problems with the providing us with radiation emmisions test results to get Type Approval from ICASA.

I currently have the Sonoff L1 led strip, but the max length is 5m. Would love to increase this to 8m for the whole side of my house. The Shelly RGBW2 looks like it could power a longer length right?

I haven't spent much time into understanding the power requirements and controller requirements for led strips, but how how a run would I be able to do with the RGBW2?

I see this RGB LED strip is 14.4W per meter:
https://www.futurelight.co.za/produ...roof-ultra-bright-5m-roll?variant=34893138055

The Shelly RGBW2 says 12v output of 144W, so does that mean I could do a maximum of 10m then?
What size power supply would I need for this?

Sorry, should probably spend some time on checking these figures a bit further.

I see sonoff have come out with the mini now which seems to be very similar to the Shelly1.
Will be interesting to see how they compare.

Had my first minor issue with they Shelly - it went "off-line" while we were away - so light automation didn't work - only way I could get it back up was by switching the trip switch.

Oddly - the wall switches also didn't work while it was offline.

Hey guys. I'm a n00b with the ewelink app for sonoff products so before I purchase anything I'd like to know: Does the Sonoff TH16 (https://www.smartkit.co.za/product/sonoff-th10th16/) work with both the schedule option and thermometer at the same time...?

In other words: If I hook one up to a panel heater in a small study I have, and tell it to keep the room temp between say 20 & 23 degrees between 3PM & 7PM will it work?

Yes that's correct.

I have mine set that when the temp is below 21 degrees between 4pm and 7am then turn on.
