Those are the recommended retail prices as given to us by ITEAD - additionally I would challenge you to go to Takealot and not checkout with close to that pricing.

Though why is this your concern when you could purchase 10 x Sonoff BASICR3s now for R123 minus 5% discount and then use the MYBROADBAND voucher to receive a further 10% discount on that. Where are you paying R105 for BASICR3s?

Actually that's R123 - 10% - 10% = R99 for a BASICR3!

Once again, @Steamy Tom, the RRP isn't determined by what competitors are charging, it's determined by what the supplier provides.

You can either spend hours arguing about the R145 Communica is charging, or just buy for R99 today.

I never said from takealot.

my initial point was that your prices generally seem high, so either they are usually high or you are inflating them to improve the attraction of your promotion, and again your offer is misleading, you cannot buy a unit for R99, you have to buy 10 using both promotions to reach that price. so are your normal prices that high or is that just the normal until the promotion is over because i certainly don't remember your prices being so high before.
 
I have a problem. I have the Sonoff 1 channel self-locking / itching wifi switch. The switch is connected to the app and ticks when tested on the phone but the gate is not moving. I connected the com on the switch to the com on the motor and the N/O to BT. This is the ET 500 Drive with the LCD display. This motor has N/C and N/O ports as well and I connected the switch to them but nothing. Any advice?

On my ET 500 Plus the above setup works fine.

Take a jumper wire from COM to BT and bridge for 1s and see is the gate opens.

You just need to figure out what triggers the open/close action.
The easiest way it to use a piece of wire as a jumper to connect the ports, when it opens you know which ports to use.
Be smart though and use insulated wire, I dont think there is much power in any of those accessible ports but its always better to be safe.

Figure out the motor first using a piece of wire to figure out what triggers it.

Then worry about the Sonoff.

Thank you guy, I did what was suggested and got it to work. The COM port for some reason do not work on the gate motor panel. I took the COM from the switch to Ground on the motor and it worked.

If your ET500 control board matches the one on page 15 of their manual at https://www.niceforyou.com/sites/de...uals/drive_500.600_installer_2016.001.002.pdf that would be because the COM terminal belongs to an auxiliary relay, and isn't connected to the ET500's ground.
 
People are always in a panic about the Sonoff POW2 or TH16 not being up to the job of running a geyser.

Well today my Geyserwise...literally made for this job **** the bed when the relay popped and melted half the wiring along with it.

Now what are the chances of finding a hf2160-1a-12de somewhere local to replace this one? Or will I need to spend stupid money and replace the entire power supply?

If I had a spare TH16 and waterproof thermometer at hand I would have installed it already and thrown the entire thing out, but that’s probably as hard to find this weekend as said replay and power supply.

For now I’ve bypassed the whole thing but I suspect there is no other thermostat or overload in the geyser itself as this replaced it all, so now I’m just running it for 30min at a time and making a guess at the temperature.
