Hi,
I'm looking for assistance with a home network please.
I have FTTH and am using the Huawei HG659 Media Router which is located in my study. This router provides 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless connectivity pretty much throughout my house. The challenge I have is that I have a couple of devices (BluRay Player and Yamaha Amp) that need a LAN cable to connect to the internet. These devices are all in the same location in my TV room. I cannot run ethernet to the TV room so I currently have a TP-Link WA850RE Range extender in my TV-room which is connected to one of these devices (the Yamaha amp). I would however like to have both the bluray player and the amp connected to the internet. Can I connect the TP-Link WA850RE Range Extender to an unmanaged switch i.e 5-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch TL-SG1005D or is there a product (not necessarily TP-Link) that can accept a wifi signal and extend that signal to more than 1 wired connection?
Thanks
