My current setup is some LG 5.1 speakers that I got with a DVD player, so nothing fancy.
I'm looking at upgrading it, already replaced the sub with a B&W active sub, can't remember the model.
So I'm looking at the speakers next.
Have a Onkyo TX-NR575E receiver running everything.
Currently looking at either a new Pioneer S-RS55TB package or 2nd hand Sony combo containing 4 x SS-MF550H, 2 x SS-R350, 1 x SS-CR350 and a SA-WM500 active sub.
The Pioneer is R5000 new and the Sony R3500.
I like the idee of the Pioneer being new, chances of faulty drivers are low, but it's only 5.0
Whilst the Sony is 7.1 (not sure if mixing active subs is a good idea) but don't know the condition and age of the drivers. Could sound horrible at high volume (not sure how good drivers age, seen very old high brand speakers go for very high prices)
Any help or input would be much appreciated.
