Soo...

These 2 epic games are coming out in 2 weeks time or so. And it's my birthday. I can pick one of them as a gift. Mainly gonna jam it for multiplayer.

Afaik, there'll be local servers for both games to multi on. My main concern is, the numbers..

Who all will be playing what?

just played on wage server, very smooth experience, it sed my ping was 9 ,not sure that is right lol

I plan on getting Homefront, though not sure what the server availability will be like. Hoping on MWEB.

Never really liked the first Crysis but I heard tonight that some ISP (can't recall) will have 10 dedicated servers.

iGame got about 15 servers. Just download the Crysis2 demo and play that for 2 weeks, if you hooked then get it.

I'll rather opt for Homefront. Sure, Crysis 2 does look good, but I don't see myself enjoying the game for more than 2 weeks. Its basically cod with a nanosuit, they really copied a lot of cod aspects, ranks, unlocks, emblems etc which probably isn't such a bad thing, but team instant action, 12 players max, you have to be kidding me, I highly doubt they'll raise the player cap to more than a max of 16 in the retail version.

I know there is and will be a lot of local servers for Crysis 2, but the player cap and limit for mp games in C2 doesn't tickle my fancy, Homefront will support up to 32 max, plus no doubt iGame will host local servers for Homefront. I'll speak to some admins of iGame and Mweb and see if I can get an answer regarding local servers. The dedicated server files for Homefront will be publicly available for everyone 2 weeks after the game gets released, but I'm sure our local providers can have servers up at launch seeing that it won't require a license for anyone to host a dedicated server.

Still, it remains your decision, check out the C2 demo and see if you'll want to play that over and over for more than a month, but I'll rather spend my money on Homefront.

Ditto.

Gonna give the C2 demo a bash tonight and see what's what, but I don't think it'll have the staying power that Homefront will have. But then I'm gonna get both games so whatever lasts I'll stay with. But even then I'll still gooi some BLOPS every now and then.

Well just played the Crysis2 demo. And well, quite honestly, it's well.... kinda boring. Gameplay and "tricks" in the game is all kinda new and exciting but it doesn't exactly revolutionise anything. Still feels like the same old FPS to me and I can't see myself putting in more than 60hours let alone over 200hours like BFBC2. I'd much rather play Unreal Tournament.

So for me, I'll opt for Homefront.

Some friends and I got together and decided to join a server. Firstly, all trying to find the same server was an issue as it only shows up to a thousand servers. The filter system doesn't work too well. The friends system kept showing online and offline and sometimes never shows friends despite being online. When we all got onto a server, the count down started and got to 1second remaining and started again from 10second in a never ending loop.
Now I may stand corrected and maybe this is a "demo" issue, but that's enough to put me off for fear of that being in the official release.

Peace out...

Just finished downloading the Crysis 2 demo. Gonna jam some games over the weekend and see if I like it or not.. Now if only Homefront had a multiplayer demo!

would buy homefront since its going to be on steam , i dont see a reason why there wouldnt be any servers aswell? Crysis 2 will be dead after 2 years or so if the retail doesnt show atleast a bit more skin :wtf:

Played the demo a bit.. must say I'm not that impressed.. Looks like Homefront it will be
