homeworld 3.........??????????

no. 2 is good. get it if you liked the fist one. increadable connection had a spesial homeworld 2 R20. dont know now. if you can get it for R50 then it still a bargin..:p
 
I don't think that there will ever be a Homeworld 3, as much as I would want it. Man I loved those games, played each one at least twice. But it was already a struggle to get Homeworld 2 out, as Sierra/Vivendi lost interest in the franchise when sales for Homeworld and Cataclysm didn't go as well as expected. I spoke to the lead developer short after the game was released, and he didn't give much hope. I think for now Relic will concentrate on their Dawn of War series, which seems to be more successful.
 
There were a few games who tried to imitate the Homeworld gameplay, but were never as good. If you can get them for cheap, they may serve as a replacement drug until the next time you feel like playing Homeworld. One game, which is also available here, is called 'O.R.B.', the other one, which I have never seen anywhere in South African shops, is called 'Haegemonia: Legions of Iron'. Both have nice graphics and a reasnoably appealing story. But they don't get close to the original.
